Tactus Therapy Solutions releases new apps to target questions

in Medical (F)

[prMac.com] Vancouver, Canada - Tactus Therapy Solutions Ltd has announced the release of two new apps in their popular line of TherAppy apps for speech-language rehabilitation: Asking TherAppy and Answering TherAppy. These two new apps have been bundled together for cost-savings into an app called Question TherAppy 2-in-1. A free trial version of the bundled apps is also available under the name Question TherAppy Lite.

Question TherAppy is an important addition to the TherAppy apps, targeting both answering and asking yes/no and wh-questions. For Speech-Language Pathologists, the addition of detailed data collection and storage with multiple user profiles makes these apps a dream come true.

Answering TherAppy: Answering questions is part of the common core educational standards and an important life skill. When people are unable to understand the difference between wh-questions such as "where" and "when", conversation is often confusing and inefficient. When people are unable to give accurate yes or no answers to questions, the consequences can be dire. Stroke survivors with aphasia frequently have difficulty understanding questions and answering correctly. This app was developed to help users with communication impairments practice answering questions of varying difficulty. Answers can be selected from multiple choices or given verbally. Answering TherAppy starts with personal orientation questions, using information about the user and the system date/time to ask personally-relevant questions. In addition to the personal questions, users can add their own questions to this app to make it truly customized.

Asking TherAppy: Asking questions is an important way we learn about the world around us. Sadly, many people with communication impairments do not have the language skills required to ask for the information they want to know. Never before has an app broken down this complex task so well to teach users how asking questions earns them information. Focusing on yes/no and wh-questions, Asking TherAppy features four unique activities with three modes of response to allow users of all abilities to practice asking questions. Every correctly-asked question is rewarded with a response in this pragmatically appropriate app.

Minimum Requirements:
* iOS 5 or higher
* iPad or iPad Mini (iPhone compatibility coming soon)

Question TherAppy 2-in-1 is being offered at an introductory price of $29.99 USD, a savings of 25% over purchasing each app individually. This offer is good through November 30, 2013. All other Tactus Therapy Solutions apps are also on sale during November.
