[prMac.com] Ashland, OR - Open Door Networks, Inc. and Project A, Inc. ("We-Envision.com") announced that they are now shipping "Mustang and More" through the iTunes App Store. A continuation of their popular line of "Envi" car apps, Mustang and More is their first app to support the in-app purchasing feature of Apple's new iPhone OS 3.0.
Beyond Web-based photos and details of five generations of Ford Mustangs, the 99-cent app includes a built-in store that lets users purchase 8 other add-ins and explore "in-depth" much more than just Mustangs. The add-ins include popular car makes like Ferraris and Porsches, specific car models like the Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and "Babes Mustang edition." Each add-in is 99-cents, or all 8 can be purchased for $4.99. All purchases are made within the app, automatically charged to the user's iTunes account, and added to the app immediately via download.
We-Envision.com's line of topic-specific Web-image browsing applications has grown from the original iEnvision Web-image browser, shipped as a first-day native app in July, 2008, to a comprehensive set of inexpensive apps on topics including art, cars, space, travel, the great outdoors, and just-plain fun. There are now 55 Envi apps, with well over 100,000 copies sold to date. We-Envision also ships the myCard and myCard Free contact exchange apps. Details of the full product line are available online.
iPhone OS 3.0 or later is required to purchase, install and run Mustang and More, which also runs on the iPod touch.
