[prMac.com] Ardrossan, Australia - Available now in the Apple App Store, Gnat Splat takes the usually disgusting act of squashing a fly and cleverly turns it into something fun and enjoyable for people of all ages.
The objective of the game is to squash all the flies as they fly across the screen while avoiding the bees, which sting the player and costs them a life.
The game also features 300 challenges that the player must pass in order. This prevents the game from becoming too repetitive and boring.
The most unique feature of the game is the social unlocks. The player has the opportunity to unlock a Frog to help squash the flies by simply posting a link to the game on Facebook. Similarly the player can unlock a Spider Web to catch the flies simply by tweeting a link to the game on Twitter.
The graphics in the game are a colourful and have a cartoon feel to them. They are quite different to a lot of other fly squashing apps that are now in the App Store.
The game is designed to be a quick time waster rather than a long and complicated game that requires hours and hours of play to get any benefit from it.
