Apple Newsstand Platform PressPad Introduces iBeacon Reading Lounge

in Services (F)

[] Krakow, Poland - With PressPad Lounge, venue owners can engage their clients in a whole new way by allowing them to read on their own iPads and iPhones while in the range of the iBeacon. PressPad is a Digital Publishing and Marketing Platform for Mobile Magazines and Comic Books. It is a single contact point for all things mobile, offering technology necessary to launch magazine iOS apps and than work and educate publishers to build mobile as a great distribution channel.

PressPad Lounge is a perfect solution for hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, etc. Any place where people gather or wait for an appointment or a connecting flight will be good for running it. That's because having a digital magazine delivered instantly upon request straight to the pocket is a fun and unforgettable experience.

"Thanks to our solution venue marketers can forget about print magazines laying around in their lounges" explained Paul Nowak, PressPad CEO. "We believe PressPad Lounge creates a unique venue experience and influences customers' loyalty - we would like help to build."

Estimote Beacons:
PressPad has chosen Estimote as a supplier of iBeacons. Estimote beacons are small, beautifully designed sensors that can be placed anywhere in the world. Their signal can be picked up by smartphones, at which point a compatible app triggers various actions; in this case the signal makes the magazine available for free for a certain period of time. Just like in the traditional paper-based press lounge model.

Trial Implementation:
The very first implementation of PressPad Lounge will take place in the Radisson Blu hotel in the Royal Capital City of Krakow, Poland. We are pleased to announce that Radisson Blu guests will be able to access selected magazines in the hotel's lobby before the end of the 2014.

With headquarters based in Cracow, Poland, PressPad was established in 2012 and backed early by Poland's most active VC firm, Innovation Nest. We like to say that PressPad comes in when Adobe is too corporate and others are too complicated. Our goals are ease of use, self-service and education of publishers entering mobile markets with PressPad. All Material and Software (C) Copyright 2014 PressPad Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
