[prMac.com] Oslo, Norway - Nor Eagle today released the final trailer for their upcoming iPhone app Insulting Monk. Following the earlier, self-deprecating teaser the new trailer starts by name-dropping several well known titles for the iPhone/iPod touch platform. Rolando(TM), Monkey Island(TM) & Pocket God(TM) each get a mention long before anything is actually revealed about Insulting Monk itself. Eventually the trailer reveals the first in-app footage.
T. Benjamin Larsen, Nor Eagle CEO, Creative Director and hand-model said this about the extensive name-dropping: "It's obviously meant to be tongue-in-cheek. The actual wording and context should make that clear. As we don't really have any famous titles to refer to, we figured mentioning someone else's would get us some attention!" he laughed. "Seriously, we love those titles and I guess it's our way of saying thank you to the developers while having a bit of fun at the same time. Hopefully they'll enjoy our humorous compliments as much as we enjoy their apps."
The Insulting Monk was introduced in Nor Eagle's first iPhone-title: Ben's somewhat spiffy-looking but ultimately craptastic rock-paper-scissors game. Insulting Monk is the second iPhone application from Nor Eagle and is awaiting release. Insulting Monk will be available for both iPhone and iPod touch. It will retail for 99 cents.
