[prMac.com] Jenkintown, PA - September 5, 2007 - Managing Editor Inc. (MEI), an Adobe Systems portfolio company and a leading provider of software solutions for the publishing industry, will host the Pro Pub Summit(TM) 2007 on September 27 and 28 at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Seventh Avenue at 28th Street, New York City. The event will be the third annual meeting of SoftCare K4 Publishing System users in the Americas.
The Pro Pub Summit is an exclusive opportunity for the K4 community to gather and address a wide range of the issues and challenges facing professional publishers. Attendees will hear from software experts as well as publishing peers through presentations and panel discussions. They will also have the chance to meet with colleagues from various sectors of the industry, see and discuss real-life examples of the system's powerful cross-media publishing capabilities, and learn how to maximize their use of K4, the popular editorial workflow solution integrating Adobe(R) InDesign(R) and InCopy(R).
Since last year's Summit, the North American K4 customer base has grown from about 75 systems and 5,000 users to 111 systems supporting nearly 7,500 users at more than 80 publishing companies. As a result of the rising number of K4 customers, plus feedback from participants at the 2006 Summit and responses to a ballot of agenda ideas, MEI expanded the scope of this year's Summit to cover more K4-related technologies, including a second day of workshops designed especially for end users and technicians.
The Pro Pub Summit 2007 is open to all K4 customers, from editors to designers to administrators. Pre-registration is required; seating is limited. Details can be found at http://www.propubsummit.com/register.html.
