Orlando, FL - August 30, 2007 - Create Magazine, the award-winning magazine for creative professionals, announces the opportunity to pioneer the New Year with one more resolution: win the Create Magazine and Softimage "Design Our Cover" contest: One person's magazine cover concept designed using SOFTIMAGE|XSI 3-D software will see their work published on the actual magazine going out to more than 45,000 print readers and over 10,000 online network members.
Softimage Co., a subsidiary of Avid Technology, Inc., develops innovative 3D character creation and effects tools for animators and digital artists creating design visualization, film, broadcast, post-production and games. SOFTIMAGE|XSI is an advanced 3D modeling, rendering, animation and character creation software that artists and technical directors use for next generation games and film.
Create Magazine is calling artists from all backgrounds, including creative veterans, students and hobbyists, to design their own work using SOFTIMAGE|XSI software. The only requirement is that the image must incorporate some form of human/character element. Anyone with a basic understanding of 3D software can participate by downloading the free 30-day trial of SOFTIMAGE|XSI software, plus tutorials and learning opportunities.
Judging will be based on individuality, artistic value and quality of work. All work submitted must be previously unpublished and original.
