New iPhone 5 with HSPA support on the AWS band

Apr 08, 2013 - GoodTechSystems announces Apple has installed a new firmware, in response to an iPhone 5 LTE model prepared to support Advanced Wireless Service (AWS) spectrum band for High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) modes. The U.S. subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile, is the first to be included in the program that accommodates the mobile broadband technology. AWS band is used by Telekom in the U.S., covering the frequency range of 1.700/2.100 MHz. Apple will sell devices with AWS supporting firmware.
