Sep 12, 2012 - Announcing that Kaeru-Life has released the first version of a educational app. With this app, children learn the Chinese for numbers one to ten, twelve basic colors, animals, cars, and 66 other everyday items. The app teaches vocabularies via large Chinese characters and Pinyin with crystal-clear Chinese audio that plays when the number or color is tapped. Each number and color page corresponds with three items. Upon tapping on an item a large photograph appears and an audio recording plays.

May 08, 2012 - Beijing based independent development team Zachary Wang and Zuo Peng introduced Small Talk Chinese for the iPad. Small Talk Chinese teaches Chinese through punchy English dialogues adapted from movies, television, and other media outlets, which are then crowd-sourced for translation into Chinese. The dialogues, which feature popup word definitions and Chinese audio from native speakers, are organized around fun topics like dating, fashion, and the office place.

JAM Language Ltd. & LuxHQ Ltd. launch 2 iPad & iPhone APPs

Aug 30, 2011 - JAM Language Ltd. has introduced 99.Mandarin.verbs 1.1 and 99.Cantonese.verbs 1.0, their first Mandarin and Cantonese iOS applications. They collaborated with Lux HQ Ltd. whose headquartered in London, UK, to create the iPhone and iPad application for both flashcards. This is a follow-up to their initial collaboration and launch of 99.Spanish.verbs earlier this summer. It takes the user back to the basics with simple to use and relevant essential verb information.
