Spotlight on FOSS DVD Available - Free Download for Software Freedom Day

Sep 05, 2011 - AppleUsers has announced, as part of the celebrations of Software Freedom Day 2011, they have compiled a selection of some of the best, yet totally free, software that's available for the Mac, collected together on a single DVD, called "Spotlight on FOSS" plus we've included some bonus videos that were created with Open Source Software! The Golden Master Disc Image and Disc Label are available, as a free download, to all Apple User Group leaders and Software Freedom Day event organizers.

Our largest issue yet, with a massive 74 pages, is available in PDF format and can be read using Adobe Reader or Preview under Mac OS X, Adobe Reader for Windows and now in iBooks on the iPad, iPhone and iPad touch. Seeking Section Editors for the AppleUsers Spotlight

Sep 16, 2010 - AppleUsers.org are seeking 3 or 4 Section Editors to assist with the production of our digital format magazine, the AppleUsers Spotlight, which is published bi-monthly. Whilst we promote the Spotlight as a 30+ page" magazine, the average issue has been around 50+ pages. We have a number of Australian contributors and we also gather a selection of some the best articles from around the globe for re-publication.

Whilst they acknowledge that the publication of the April/May issue was ever so slightly delayed this time, they think you'll enjoy the 60-page bumper issue now that it is finally here.


Diverse Agenda at Next lafcpug Meeting, Oct 22

Oct 18, 2008 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) will be Wednesday, Oct 22 at the Gallery Theatre in Hollywood, CA beginning at 6:45PM. Scheduled to appear will be Kevin Wyatt from Baseline Studio Systems, Josh Mellicker from DVCreators, FCS Guru Andrew Balis, Neil Smith and Aaron Peak of Hollywood DI and Veescope Signals' Neil Smith.
