Jun 24, 2008 - Apimac has released new versions of Compress Files, their tool for compressing, archiving, encrypting files. This new version lets you specify if you want to omit Finder specific information as well as Mac specific file attributes when creating Zip archives. Compress Files now uses AES-256 encryption for zip files.

May 28, 2008 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. today announced the release of Check Point Full Disk Encryption for Mac OS X, the industry's first full-disk encryption solution with pre-boot authentication to support the Mac OS. Dec 15, 2007 - Azure Talon today announced the release of version 1.2 of Exces, its popular file encryption software. Exces is a tool that allows users to create password-protected vaults with ease of use among its key features. Each vault is protected using the same encryption algorithm Apple uses for FileVault - AES 128. Exces features a password assistant, to help choose strong passwords. Exces now also has a shrink vault feature, which lets users easily shrink a vault to the minimum possible disk space.
