lafcpug to present Plug-ins for FCP and Motion Night

Jan 25, 2010 - The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will have its first meeting of 2010 on Wednesday January 27, 2010 beginning at 6:45PM at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood California. It will be "Plug-ins and More Night." In addition lafcpug plans another round of "Stump The Gurus," which consists of a panel of FCS experts who attempt to answer all your questions and solve all your problems concerning Final Cut Studio. Rounding out the evening will be show and tells from local filmmakers and more.


The Avid/FCP 2-Step at LAFCPUG - November 18

Nov 11, 2009 - The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group today announced their next meeting will be Wednesday, November 18, 2009 beginning at 6:45PM at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood California. The entire night will be devoted to the "The Avid/FCP 2-Step." Lafcpug intends to cover the major differences between the Avid MC and Final Cut Pro. Scheduled to be on the agenda will be legendary film and sound editor Walter Murch.


Editors of Where the Wild Things Are at LAFCPUG - October 28

Oct 26, 2009 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 beginning at 6:45PM at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood California. This meet will feature film editors Eric Zumbrunnen and Erik Jessen who will discuss and show off the Final Cut Pro workflow they developed for the just released and much anticipated film from Spike Jonze, "Where the Wild things Are."


Agenda Set For Second Annual Amsterdam FCPUG SuperMeet

Aug 30, 2009 - Final Cut Pro co-creator Michael Wohl featured with interactive Q&A panel discussion between experts and audience. The Final Cut Pro User Group Network have announced the agenda is now set for the Second Annual Amsterdam FCPUG SuperMeet to be held Sunday, 13 September 2009 at The Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Dam Square, the heart of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Doors open at 16:30 with an FCP Showcase with over 26 exhibitors; Presentations begin at 19:00 and continue until 23:30.


LAFCPUG To Present "What's New in Final Cut Studio"

Aug 24, 2009 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) will be Wednesday, August 26, 2009 beginning at 6:30PM at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood California. The meeting will feature an All Star panel of experts presenting "What's New in Final Cut Studio." This event is sold out. Scheduled to appear on the agenda will be Andrew Balis who will show off Apple's Color 1.5. Brian Gary will show off Compressor 3.5 and Mark Spencer will show off Motion 4.


Large Turnout at 1st Annual FCPUG London SuperMeet Announced

Jul 12, 2009 - The Final Cut Pro User Group Network is excited to announce that over 600 digital filmmakers and FCP users attended the recent First Annual London SuperMeet held at the Kensington Conference Centre in London, England on June 25, 2009. Next, the Second Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet will be held Sunday, September 13 at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam.


Agenda Now Set For The First Annual London FCPUG SuperMeet

Jun 22, 2009 - The Final Cut Pro User Group Network have announced that the agenda is now set for the 1st Annual London FCPUG SuperMeet to be held Thursday, June 25, 2009 beginning at 4:30PM at the Kensington Conference and Event Centre in London England. Oscar and BAFTA award winning film and sound editor Walter Murch will be the Keynote speaker. Mr. Murch will discuss his Final Cut Pro workflow and show clips from the just released film "Tetro," written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola.


LAFCPUG to Celebrate 9th Birthday - June 17 in Hollywood CA

Jun 15, 2009 - The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will celebrate its 9th Anniversary on Wednesday, June 17 at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood, CA beginning at 7PM. Founded in 2000 by Michael Horton and a small team of dedicated video and film professionals the lafcpug has grown from a small group of about 40 people in 2000 into a organization of over 6,000 members world wide and is considered the single largest Final Cut Pro User Group in the world.


Agenda Set for 8th Annual NAB FCPUG SuperMeet

Apr 09, 2009 - The Final Cut Pro User Group Network (FCPUG Network) have announced a sneak peak at the agenda for the 8th Annual NAB FCPUG SuperMeet, to be held in the Amazon Ballroom at the Rio Hotel (Las Vegas, NV) on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 beginning at 4:30PM. It is expected this event will be the largest gathering of Final Cut Pro Users and digital content creators and filmmakers during the 2009 NAB Show.


Digital Conntent Creators to Host Digital Media Workshop

Mar 26, 2009 - Digital CONNtent Creators have announced plans for a major 2-day workshop event for post-production artists. The September workshop is DCC's premiere relaunch event following founder Keith Larsen's reinstatement as President on June 1, 2009. A member newsletter, regional film-festival, and Digital CONNtent Creators broadcast are also in consideration for development. The event will be held at Tripeg Studios in Hamden, Connecticut on September 15-16, 2009.


Digital CONNtent Creators Announces Connecticut User Group Relaunch

Record Attendance at the 8th Annual FCPUG SuperMeet

Jan 15, 2009 - The Final Cut Pro Users Group is excited to announce that a standing room only crowd attended the recent 8th Annual Macworld FCPUG SuperMeet held at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco on January 7, 2009. The next SuperMeet will be held Tuesday, April 21 in Las Vegas alongside the giant NAB trade show. The organizers are already lining up the venue and sponsors with the expectation to draw record attendance.

Nov 16, 2008 - The next meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group will be Wednesday, November 19, 2008 beginning at 6:45 PM at the Gallery Theater in E. Hollywood, CA. It will be the "other NLEs Night," featuring Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Avid Media Composer v3. Before the show and the break there will be demos in the lobby of DV Kitchen from DVCreators, storage solutions from HDDisk, Green Screen keying from Veescope Live and much more.
