[prMac.com] New Orleans, LA - Regular Rate and Rhythm Software today is pleased to announce the release of Med Mnemonics 1.6, its collaborate learning resources for medical memory aids, for the iPhone, iPhone Touch, iPad, and Android. Med Mnemonics allows healthcare students and professionals instant access to over 1500 learning and recall tools.
A mnemonic is a short rhyme, phrase, or other mental technique for making information easier to memorize. Med Mnemonics is an instantly searchable database of mnemonics to aid healthcare professionals and trainees at all levels, from medical and nursing students to practitioners in hospitals and clinics. Mnemonics can also be filtered by discipline and body system. Subjects covered range from Anatomy and Biochemistry to Pharmacology and Surgery, with many general topics and specialties in-between.
Regular Rate and Rhythm intends Med Mnemonics to be a collaborative tool. New mnemonics can be added by its users and shared easily via email. They can also be submitted for inclusion in future versions. A large database is included initially, and user submissions will be reviewed by an MD before they are accepted into future free upgrades.
"We've taken Med Mnemonics in several exciting directions with this release," said Dr. Evan Schoenberg, founder of Regular Rate and Rhythm Software. "Working with independent developer Evan Ernst to offer an Android version of our app was a pleasure. The iPad, too, offered some great opportunities to expand and streamline the learning experience of using Med Mnemonics."
Med Mnemonics 1.6 adds over a dozen new, physician-reviewed mnemonics from those submitted by users of the app.
