[prMac.com] Henderson, Nevada - Announcing Steiner Products, the developer of Slider Dice, has released their latest update for iPhone and iPod touch users. The application requires a user to think fast, make decisions on the fly and cross their fingers or wear their lucky socks. Playing against the computer or an opponent, players roll the dice to determine which slider can be moved. Trying to form a winning pattern at quick speed is fully engaging and highly addictive.
The object of the game is for a player to get a row of their sliders placed horizontally, vertically, diagonally or in four corners before their opponent or the computer does. Sounds easy but there's challenge in this app.
Shaking the device will roll a die, its number determining which slider a user may move. Players can choose which direction they want their line to go in but they must hope that their opponent is not blocking their way. If the die reveals a number already on the board, the player must still move. When the slider cannot be slid to a neighboring spot, that slider has to be taken off the board and put back into play. This opens up a potential spot for the opponent to sneak in.
It all comes down to the luck of the roll but players still must figure out where to start their row and how they're going to slide around their opponents. Both of these things will take some quick deductive reasoning and foresight, elements that engage players fully and get their game addiction going.
