[prMac.com] Miami, Florida - Independent app developer, Tokkao announces that Air Chix will be free for the first 24 hours as a launch date special. The company will be releasing the game in the iTunes App Store on Friday April 22nd. "We are really happy with the game", said Javier Feliu, president and lead programmer of Tokkao. "Air Chix was really fun to develop and we are looking forward to the public's reactions."
"Who said little chicks could not fly?" Air Chix is about a treasure hunter little chick who is looking for the treasures aboard his paper plane. Chix must avoid the ruins obstacles and collect fruits. Air Chix is an iPhone game with a classic side-scrolling gameplay. With a simple one-touch flight experience, player will be able to control the flow of the flight. Along the way, the players can also unlock Stars Fruits. These stars will give them a temporary speed boost, which allows them to improve their final score. However, it makes it more difficult to avoid the obstacles during this boost.
The physic of the game is really smooth since the game used the Unity3D physic's engine. Although physics is not a important part of the game, it provides a really smooth ride for the player. Tokkao was initially only supporting OpenFeint for online interactions; now they are also supporting Game Center.
Tokkao has also released the official trailer of the game on YouTube. The trailer shows the game mechanics in more detail than the previous teaser and also specifies the game's features.
Tokkao is an independent videogame company, which was founded in 2010 and resides in Miami, Florida.
