[prMac.com] Beijing, China - Math Ninja Lite is a free educational application for the iPad designed and developed by Kitty Pad with the help of primary education experts available for sale in the iTunes store. The target age is anywhere from 6-12. Kids can use Math Ninja's math games to learn and practice math skills, from basic concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, to more advanced and complicated problem solving such as mixed operator usage. Players can play to practice on skill, addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, or they can challenge themselves further by selecting multiple operators.
Math Ninja Lite is available for free download. It contains 15 different games and 4 levels of difficulty and is complete with sounds effects. In total, there are over 1,000 different potential math problems that require resolving. This app can be used as a teaching tool, by introducing concepts and then repeating, or as a review method as the game can be played on one of two modes that utilize different branches of critical thinking: either selecting the correct answer or eliminating wrong answers. In this way, Math Ninja by Kitty Pad serves as a suitable introduction to test taking, but strives to balance the math challenges with colorful imagery and characters, incorporating fun games into learning.
All of Kitty Pad's applications work in conjunction with Kitty Pad's Parent Dashboard - a resource that parents can use to supervise their child's use of the iPhone and iPad. Parents can monitor their child's progress in educational games, set time limits for non-educational applications, or block certain applications altogether. Parents can log onto Kitty Pad's website, to create and manage a profile for their child's application use.
