[prMac.com] Denver, Colorado - Riptide Games, Inc. and Projkt Nine, Inc. today announced a merger which will take effect over the next few weeks. Riptide Games, Inc. based in Denver, CO and Projkt Nine, Inc. based in Ottawa, Ontario have joined forces to better focus on the development of highly entertaining freemium next-gen mobile games. The combined entities will operate under the Riptide Games label.
The merger comes after over a year of collaboration on projects including My Pet Zombie, which is already available in Canada and will be released worldwide this Thursday July 14th. Previous joint projects include the highly successful iLookApps series which has garnered over 2 Million downloads in the past year.
"I am very excited about this merger." said Mike Montgomery founder of Projkt Nine who is assuming the role of Chief Creative Officer for Riptide Games Corp. "With the success of the titles already released, and the current titles in the works, we have a very big year ahead of us."
