[prMac.com] Bainbridge Island, Washington - Left Coast Logic today is pleased to announce the release of SmartCal for iOS5. The all-in-one integrated calendar and task manager takes advantage of new features in the iPhone operating system. The company also announced a special half-price sale on their suite of productivity apps, valid for Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 24-27).
SmartCal is an intelligent calendar and planner for iPhone and iPod touch. Plan and organize in three handy views: Calendar View integrates tasks directly into the free space between your appointments and has a handy pull-down "mini month" for easy planning; Task View shows which tasks fit into each day for the entire week, with easy filters and drag/drop prioritizing; Projects View shows your tasks by project category. Synchronize appointments directly with your iPhone calendar, and tasks with Toodledo.
SmartCal for iOS5 adds new calendar colors and the ability to create calendars in the iPhone calendar directly from SmartCal. Of particular interest is the new "Transparent calendar" feature. SmartCal integrates tasks directly into the calendar by looking at the free time between appointments. But some people use shared calendars so they can view the schedules of other people. The new feature allows shared calendars to be "transparent" to the logic of inserting tasks into the calendar.
The company also announced a special half-price sale of its suite of productivity apps: SmartCal for iPhone, SmartPad for iPad, SmartNotes and SmartPlans for iPhone and iPad. The sale is limited to November 24-27. "It's a great opportunity to give our apps as year-end gifts. Productivity tools are always more popular at this time of year as people put together their plans, schedules and resolutions for the new year," says Michael Jardine, the Managing Partner of Left Coast Logic. "And speaking of 2012, we have some great plans. Stay tuned."
