[prMac.com] Seoul, Korea, Republic Of - Lucky Fighter, a new action-packed casual game from Hiccup Studios, is already garnering great reviews.
The unique pick-up-and-play hit features an underdog "lucky fighter" facing off against a gang of 100o freakish, low-life bullies. The rules of engagement are duel-like: the fighter faces each opponent one at a time, and they play rock-paper-scissors to determine who gets a punch in. The player must conquer the 100 varied enemies before his or her hit points are exhausted. To aid in attaining victory, special in-game items enhance the action. Hit point potions boost health, while other bonus items can grant the ability to roll stats back a number of turns or peek at opponents' future rock-papers-scissors moves. Two helper characters, mysterious ninjas, lend their help to the underdog fighter at certain points as well.
In addition to the easy-to-learn, fast paced game play, Lucky Fighter is socially interactive, with Game Center integration and a uniquely customizable main character that makes sharing scores and achievements via social network fun. The main character's face can be replaced with another image file - the player can take a photo of themselves to star in the show, in other words. This character can also be posed in the in-app camera's viewfinder, so the player can take a photo of their customized hero against real-life backgrounds. These pictures are easily shared with friends and other fans of the game.
Reviewers find Lucky Fighter a perfect blend of challenge and simplicity, while the customizable character provides a fun and creative outlet for self-expression. Lucky Fighter is available in the iTunes App Store now, and can be downloaded free of charge.
