[prMac.com] Highland Park, New Jersey - Indie developer Joe Macirowski today is pleased to announce iDecorate 3.2 free for iOS, an update to his app that lets users create original scenes of nature, wildlife, outer space, and more. The app includes 44 Hi-Res, computer generated, background environments rendered in 3D, plus more than 600 photorealistic objects/stamps, which can be placed in any scene. Users control selection, placement, number, layering, size, and mirroring of stamps, arranging all the graphic elements to create dramatic, original art that can be saved, shared, or printed. A universal app with Retina display compatibility, iDecorate is the ideal way to explore design, perspective, color, composition, and other principles of the graphic arts.
Not everyone has the talent, skill, and ability to create photorealistic, 3D, computer generated artwork. However, everyone has an innate creative drive and desire for self-expression; iDecorate has been designed for these would-be artists. It allows users to explore all but the most fundamental issues of artistic expression and design through a non-threatening interface that invites users of all skill levels to make 3D pictures.
* Express your creativity by arranging stamps in a scene to create original art
* Photorealistic, 3D environments and objects
* Fill the graveyard with ghosts, or the swamp with Big Foot
* Create scenes in outer space with aliens, planets, and astronauts
* Landscape a placid mountain lake with trees, flowers, and grasses
* iPad with Retina display supports canvases 3840x2560 and stamps up to 2048x2048
* Continually updated backgrounds and stamps
The app includes a wide variety of meticulously wire-framed, textured, lighted, and rendered 3D background environments. There are autumn forests, mountain lakes, moonlit prairies, and snow covered mountains. Also included are more fantastical environments, like a dark graveyard, Earth from space, a foggy swamp, and Devils Tower in Wyoming. The app also allows artists to import their own photos to use as backgrounds.
Individual stamps, 3D objects, can be used in a scene as many times as desired, and they are applied with a single touch. Stamps can be moved anywhere on the canvas, and can be adjusted in size from invisible to larger than the screen. Categories of stamps include Nature (rocks, trees, flowers, birds, lightning, stars, comets, and moons); SciFi (Sun, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, astronaut, alien, and flying saucer); Fall (trees with turning leaves, individual leaves, and piles of leaves); Halloween (ghost ship, vampire, raven, ghost, cauldron, pumpkin, and gravestone); and Winter (icicle, polar bear, penguin, snowflake, candy cane, Christmas stocking, Christmas tree, lights and ornaments). Dinosaurs, Dragons, Animals, and Trees & Foliage can be unlocked through an in-app purchase.
"We all love to create. But sometimes a blank canvas and a brush isn't the best way," commented developer Joe Macirowski. "Arranging a scene is just as important as drawing it. iDecorate lets you arrange and place an ever growing array of artwork on dozens of pre-rendered backgrounds (or use your own!)"
* iPhone 3GS/4/4S, iPod touch (3rd/4th generation), and iPad 1/2/3
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* 681.0 MB
