[prMac.com] Cold Spring, Kentucky - Long Life Apps today is pleased to announce Picture Perfect Challenge 1.2 free for iOS, an update to its app that challenges players to take a photo or choose an existing photo from their camera roll, which matches a given word or theme. For example, photo themes have included: Innocence, A Mother's Love, Loyalty, Nature's Majesty, and Geometries. Players then vote for the best photo submitted in each category to be awarded "Picture Perfect" photo of the round. Themes are released 5 per hour, and players have 1 hour to find, edit (if they wish) and submit their picture(s) for the theme(s) they would like to play. The second hour of the 2-hour round is for online voting, and those who submit a photo are required to vote, though they cannot vote for their own entry.
A new and exciting competitive photography game, which puts participants both behind the camera and in the judge's seat, Picture Perfect Challenge is an innovative photo-sharing app, designed to stretch the creative boundaries of photographers. In addition to single and multiple word themes, the game includes ABC123 themes. Here, the goal is to find items that begin with each of the letters given. For example, given "NRD," players can take a photo that contains a nut, a radio, and a dog. Often the funniest and most creative of the entries, these themes provide almost unlimited latitude.
Once players submit their photos, their submissions are hung in the Virtual Gallery among 12 random players' entries. At the top of the hour, players receive a notification that it is time to vote on all the photos submitted in the previous hour. Players will see a list of the themes that they need to vote in. Every vote a picture receives is worth 1 point. The winning picture in each theme receives double points. Players keep collecting points to move up the ranks and to receive special badges that tell other players how many points they have received.
* 5 brand new themes released every single hour
* Play against other random users or create your own group to compete with friends
* Share your photos with social media sites like Facebook and Twitter
* Push notification alerts for new themes, voting times, and results
* Leave comments, suggestions, and feedback for other players' photos
Players can invite others to join a group, and they can belong to as many groups as they like. Groups can be based on photographic expertise, age, location, friends, or any other criteria. Though most participants will enter photos taken on their iDevice, entries may be shot on a DSLR or other camera. The ideal motivational tool for photographers, artists, and creatives, Picture Perfect Challenge provides players with a wonderful opportunity to take pictures and judge pictures, and expand their appreciation of the photographic image.
According to Michael Schweitzer of Long Life Apps, "Picture Perfect Challenge is a new concept that takes our passion for mobile picture taking or 'iPhonography' and adds a dash of user creativity and a dose of healthy competition, to create this fun, entertaining and challenging game!"
