[prMac.com] Holywood, Northern Ireland - Flickerpix release Macrophonics 1.1 - a fun and educational alphabet game for young children- for the iPad, hot on the heels of the success of the short animated film MACROPOLIS which was released to huge acclaim as part of London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
Macrophonics is the story of two physically impaired toys, CAT and DOG, who are discarded from a factory production line. By reinterpreting the littered everyday objects they find around them, they begin to find their way back home.
Macrophonics now gives you the chance to interact with the CAT and DOG characters by watching them play with a host of interesting items they have found, like a Cupcake, a Roller Skate and a Xylophone.
The free app, available to download from the iTunes App Store, features 26 unique animations, one for each letter of the alphabet, helping children understand the alphabet and the phonetic sounds that go into making up the English.
Joel Simon, the film's creator and Creative Director of Flickerpix, is delighted that his company is making the leap into the world of App development. "Flickerpix have been producing award winning animated content for many international TV channels. With people consuming media more and more on mobile devices, we felt it was a natural progression for us to design our content for this market. We are currently developing a number of other children's shows and we are planning the mobile strategies right from the outset"
