[prMac.com] San Francisco, California - SocialBug Labs, creator of the "Smart Fish" brand of educational apps, announced today the release of its new app, "Smart Fish: Frequent Flyer", which familiarizes kids with the process of taking a flight. In this educational app, kids go through steps such as packing a suitcase, going through security, boarding a plane and claiming luggage to visit world-famous destinations like Paris, Kyoto, New York and many others.
By letting the child experience all the steps of plane travel, the app helps parents build anticipation and reduce the child's anxiety before a trip. It also allows parents to explain and share their own travel experiences, such as business travel, with their children.
"Mobile devices can be enormously valuable in helping children deal with new or difficult life situations", said Yael Gavish, CEO of SocialBug Labs. "Parents see a lot of value in giving the child, through the app, a sense of independence and control of the situation, even for children who've already taken a flight. Playacting the situation ahead of time gives the child more confidence and makes the trip an adventure in which they know what to expect."
In addition to the importance of packing appropriately for the weather and fastening their seat belts, children learn about key monuments and local culture in some of the world's notable travel destinations.
