[prMac.com] Stargard Szczecinski, Poland - Anawiki Games today is thrilled to announce the high-definition iOS release of its classic title Runes of Avalon. Originally released for PC and Mac, Runes of Avalon offers a unique mash-up of Match-3 and Tetris-style mechanics over the course of over 100 levels. It features three play modes, high-quality art, music and voice acting, and an intriguing storyline set in the mythical world of Avalon.
Runes of Avalon breathes new life into the familiar Match-3 genre, with the player placing geometric blocks of colored runes to form matches, rather than simply hunting for them within a randomized grid. A thorough tutorial introduces players quickly to this novel gameplay, while the gorgeous graphics complete the experience.
The story is one of the longest and most immersive to be seen in a casual puzzle game: Avalon, a land lost in the mists of time, finds its beauty and grace threatened by a growing evil. Merlin, guardian of the realm, has disappeared, and the ambitious and evil Morganna le Fay is spreading corruption across the land. You, the player, must use the Rune Magic taught to you by Merlin himself to rescue him from Morganna's tower and free the land from her clutches.
