[prMac.com] San Diego, California - BinaryLabs has launched new app to develop fine motor skills in preschoolers at the American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference & Expo.
After listening to customer reviews and requests, Binary Labs has extended its line of apps called Dexteria to include preschool-age children who are just learning to develop their fine motor skills. With games like "Pinch the Pepper" and "Squish the Squash" the app aims to assist the development process while providing a fun learning activity for children.
Frank Jensen, BinaryLabs CEO, said, "The original Dexteria app has been very successful among occupational therapists, teachers and parents but users have been asking for a version targeted to the preschool age market. We feel this app will not only be useful in occupational therapy, but also among parents looking to ensure their children's success in school."
Dexteria, Jr. includes three different activities with multiple levels on each activity to develop different aspects of a child's fine motor skills. Specifically, the apps focus on proper pencil grip, fine motor coordination, and pre-writing skills. Progress is easily tracked for each activity to view how your child has improved. The games are designed to be repeatable yet engaging while helping to build strength, control and dexterity. After performing the apps in short sessions on a regular basis, it will help improve fine motor skills over time.
The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is holding its annual trade show and members are anxiously awaiting the latest addition to the Dexteria line.
"Frank Jensen of Binary Labs is an associate AOTA member, and we are excited to have BinaryLabs along with more than 370 other exhibitors at AOTA's Annual Conference & Expo," says Stephanie Yamkovenko, AOTA's Web editor. "In the past couple of years mobile apps have become very popular with our members. "
