[prMac.com] Xiamen, China - CommSource, a China-based startup has announced that their camera app BeautyPlus for iOS has surpassed 1 million users after being live for about 2 months in the App Store, with 60 percent of them coming from Japan.
Launched in April 25th of 2013, BeautyPlus has gained popularity among users across Asia. It has hit the top 1 spot in photo category in the App Store in Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Macau, Cambodia and a few other countries in Asia.
BeautyPlus is a self-portrait camera app for facial beauty enhancement, aiming specifically at women users from Asia. About 90% of its users are females. In addition to its "Auto beauty enhancement" feature, the app provides a variety of editing options for users to enhance their portrait photos, including skin retouch, eyes enlarger, slimming, beauty filters, etc. It also offers a Night Mode for self-snapshot in low light conditions. After editing, users can easily share their pretty photo on various SNS sites.
BeautyPlus for Android is now under test and is expected to be released in late July. At the same time, a major update with new exciting features for its iOS version would also be released later this month. In the future, the company will continue targeting Asian market to grow its user base and increase its impacts.
