[prMac.com] Boston, Massachusetts - Artware, Inc. recently introduced the most requested feature from fans to their multi-layer photo editing app, layrs. The new Backgrounds feature allows users, mobile photographers, to completely alter an image by seamlessly inserting a selected object from one photo into another photo. But is does not stop there. Once the new image is created, the user can edit it with all the tools available in layrs, applying filters, blurring effects, different hues and enhancements to create a totally unique photo montage.
It was just over a month ago that Artware, Inc. introduced layrs, the pioneer app in high precision, multi-layer photo editing on a mobile device. layrs accurately detects the boundary of objects in a photo, isolates the object from the background and allows the mobile photographer to edit the foreground and background separately. On launch day, layrs was #1 in the App Store and was featured by Apple in New & Noteworthy. In the span of 10 days over half a million mobile users downloaded layrs.
"layrs provides the mobile photographers the ability to create photos that would normally require a DSLR camera and professional editing tools," said Janice Ozguc, founder. "The Backgrounds feature was a natural planned progression in the development of layrs and now being able to extract an object, person, building or anything else from one photo and insert it into another background opens up new and endless possibilities for photo editing. We've already reached more than half a million users with layrs and hope to reach millions with the implementation of this highly requested feature."
The multi-layer technology of the layrs app achieves results previously unseen on mobile photo editing applications. layrs with the new Backgrounds feature is now available for download in the iTunes App Store.
