[prMac.com] Barcelona, Spain - Inqbarna is proud to announce the new version of its successful DJ turntable for iOS: "deej loops & effects edition". With over 300K users all around the world, this DJ mixer was one of their first hits on the App Store. After reaching agreements with Numark and Woxter, the next step was this major update with loops & effects to give a pro tool to all DJ's who want to mix music on their mobile devices. deej allows users to mix, record and share their own mixed music. In the recently released version users can share to their Souncloud and Dropbox accounts in a fast and easy way so they can export easily their own mixes and share them with the world. In fact, Inqbarna's developers will continue working on some more options to export mixes from deej as it is one of the most used features and users claim to be loving the functionality.
Inqbarna is now focusing their developments on the music area, or as they call it "Social Music apps". They have recently launched Splyce, a music player with magical DJ powers that has been a hit in the iPhone App Store with over 400K users in its first month. Splyce has been developed after listening to deej users asking for an app that auto-mix their music in an easy way, and that's exactly what they did. "deej users who were not keen on DJing asked for an app that could mix automatically and where they could set simple features to make a playlist with their favorite tracks" says Nacho Sanchez, Inqbarna's CEO. They have also launched TunerTool, a guitar tuner with a music social network attached that has over 2 million users, mostly from the US, Japan and South Korea.
"deej" turns your iPhone or iPad into an interactive and addictive mixing table with the music of your library. "deej" has been designed encompassing both amateur, as well as, professional DJs. deej is known for being one of the most reliable tools on the App Store for DJ's, and developers want to keep that position in the market: "when you offer a tool, all the user wants is for it to be reliable. We want deej to keep an easy UI, everything can be seen on screen, no navigation needed. That's basic when you are focused on creating music, all your attention must be on the music, not on the tool" adds Mr. Sanchez. Keeping it simple is one of the hardest tasks they face when adding new features to the app, but users feedback seem to reinforce their vision of the mobile music apps.
Regarding the new features, here is what the new deej offers:
Loops: the main purpose of loops is to select a section of your track, and tell the software to play it over and over again. It is a great resource for DJ's to enhance their mixes, "though, you must use it wisely or else you can annoy your audience" says Nacho. Loops can take from a 1/16 part of a beat, to 32 beats and you can lock the loops to keep playing it while you're focusing on other tasks.
Effects: are alterations to the sound added when you're DJing and deej offers three on this new version: echo, flanger and phaser and soon some more will be added to the app.
Echo: It's simply repeating the same sound, again (and again, and again), getting quieter each time until it eventually disappears. You can set the delay and the dry/wet to adjust the effect to your music and perform a great session with a simple sound effect.
Phaser: It's often compared to listening to sound coming from a rotating speaker. Technically, phasing is frequency modulated sound mixed back into the original. Cycle and dry/wet of the phaser effect can be set on the app.
Flanger: is a type of phasing where delay is also introduced to the signal that feeds back.
