THOUSAND OAKS, California - July 10, 2007 - Astoundit Software today announced the immediate release of Kidwidget 2 for the Macintosh, a significant upgrade to the family friendly software suite. Kidwidget 2 features an enhanced and secure environment that prevents children from accessing the normal computer operating system and other important files, while providing numerous fun and educational activities. Additional new features include virtual flashcards, expanded painting tools, and Universal Application support for Intel-based Macintosh computers.

"Kidwidget 2 has taken the best aspects of the award-winning original release, and combined them with even more intuitive and kid-friendly tools," said Chad Bullock, Astoundit Software's CEO. "Kidwidget 2 offers a substantial number of fun innovations, including support for the Apple iSight camera which lets children paint on top of their own photos."

Kidwidget 2 comes with a variety of easy-to-use activities that are designed specifically for children. Including writing, painting, drawing, flashcards, games, and more. Kidwidget 2 is available immediately for the Macintosh; Microsoft Windows support is scheduled for release in August, 2007. The price for new users is $26 (US); all existing Kidwidget 1.0 users are eligible for a free upgrade.
