[prMac.com] Stratham, New Hampshire - Perleybrook Labs LLC today is pleased to announce the release of Statiked 1.0.1, an update to their static blog application for Mac OS X. Statiked is a native Mac OS X application that allows users to configure their blog, specify publishing hosts, create articles and publish them from Statiked's friendly user interface.

When creating a static blog in Statiked, users have 3 different premium themes to chose from: Snowhite, Timeline, and Vintage. They can also use and customize their own theme. Statiked allows users to edit and publish posts in familiar text editors such as TextMate, TextEdit, BBEdit or Sublime Text 2. An inbuilt MetaWeblog interface is also available in Statiked which helps posting to your static blog with a traditional blog client easy. Additionally, users can create and save their posts locally in markdown format. Statiked will convert the markdown files to HTML before uploading them to the hosts.
Presently, Statiked can publish blogs to Amazon S3 and Github although additional hosting options will be available in the near future. Migrating existing blogs have been made easy by Statiked's use of the familiar Liquid Template system. By providing a wealth of options, Statiked respects the user's workflow and endeavors to make the technology of publishing less cumbersome.
Version 1.0.1 includes support for unicode URLS and minor big fixes. The update has also made the blog creation process more intuitive and simpler to navigate with a streamlined user interface.
"Statiked makes creating static blogs easy on a Mac," explains Ranjith Antony, founder of Perleybrook Labs LLC. "Over time, there have been a lot of changes in the medium and publishing methods. With plug-ins, database configuration, comment spams, CPU load and bandwidth, and server side security to worry about, the technology of publishing has become cumbersome. Statiked is an effective and easy-to-use tool so users can write just right."
