[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom - Fans of the 80's arcade favorite 1942 will enjoy playing Save the Planet - Airplane Fighter, a new vertically scrolling shoot 'em up game available to iPhone and Android users. Developed by Fan Studio UK, the company behind other mobile game favorites such as TrafficVille 3D, this latest addition to the app lineup is designed to attract players both young and old.
Set in the time of World War II, the player pilots a fighter airplane while on a mission to save the planet. The goal is to survive the five different levels and terrains (desert, sea, forest, city, and space), shooting down enemies and beating each level's boss (a scorpion, big boat, train, big tank, and space ship) before moving to the next area.
The player must deftly navigate through the various levels with a weaponized plane, in the manner of desert strikes and river raids. The air combat will require skillful piloting in order to dodge and weave through attacks while trying to avoid getting hit behind enemy lines.
With no in-app upgrades or purchases, pay just once for the game and be provided with everything needed to save the world during this WWII era. The current version offers one airplane model and bonuses like double damage, a shield, and powerful rockets that will boost fighting power to launch successful attacks on the enemy. In addition, the player can also receive extra life bonuses in order to survive the warzone and extend the chances of success.
The clean, simple interface and straightforward gameplay make Save the Planet - Airplane Fighter an entertaining option for fans of vertical scrollers and classic games such as 1942. The popular vertical scrolling shooter style game will attract a wide player audience, as well as appeal to the nostalgia of those who remember similar arcade games from their childhood.
