[prMac.com] London, UK - Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite, the Free game for the iPhone and iPod Touch by Appnoose has hit the Number 1 Game slot in Egypt after 7 days in the App store. The Lite version is also the number 1 Game in the Kids category and number 4 Free App across all the categories. Kids' game fans have been downloading the game in 58 countries and it is also the number 1 Kids game in Slovakia and India.
"I think the beauty of this game is in its apparent simplicity but yet tricky execution. I mean there's only one level and screen but unless your co-ordination is good you're going to flop pretty fast. Parents get frustrated but kids persevere and get better at it", declares game inventor and Appnoose founder Owen Hunte.
Compatible with both the iPhone and iPod Touch, Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite is the little brother to the full version of the same name, which at 99 cents, includes Openfeint Global Leader board scoring, saving upon game interruption and is Ad free. Gorilla Money Crunch Lite is currently number 1 in three countries, top 25 in 36 countries including Italy, France and Germany and top 100 in 54 countries including the UK, Canada, USA, Australia and Japan.
"It really is quite an enthralling game once you get the hang of it and it'll definitely keep the kids busy on the long drive or flight back from the in-laws after Christmas", smiles Owen. Appnoose claims that the results are, "impressive" as Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite was only released 7 days ago and has not had an Apple feature as yet other than the standard release exposure upon entering the App store.
The goal of the game is to score as many points as you can by staying alive as long as you can. There are three controls for the Gorilla on the bridge for you to master; tilt left and right, drop the coconut and jump. You move the Gorilla by tilting your device left and right and pressing the jump button to jump over the bridge gaps which will appear very quickly as you miss the Monkeys with the coconuts you've dropped from above. You've also got to jump over the bananas or you lose a Gorilla life. The standard game lasts 2 minutes but if you touch a timer it buys you 20 seconds more so you could play indefinitely. And finally, to fix those bridge gaps you've created you can drop coconuts on the floating tool kits below. Gorilla Monkey Crunch Lite is available exclusively through the Apple Appstore worldwide.
