Tired of keeping up with your plants’ daily watering needs? These techniques will help you effectively get your plants watered easily. Some techniques may be a bit complicated, but you will learn quickly in this article. Here are 3 watering skills you can use to maintain healthy indoor greens in your Faber Residence condo.
Watering Can Method
This is the most well-known method of keeping your plants healthy. It’s very easy and straightforward. To do this, simply tilt your watering can over your choice of plant, and let the water drop on the soil. However, it is not super accurate. If you want an accurate watering can, consider buying one that can disperse them and not let the water flow from one spout. Also, try to avoid overwatering when using watering cans.
Misting
This skill is more of a care technique. Simply spray your plants with nice clouds of water droplets. If your plants are from the tropics, then misting is probably most needed. These types of plants need moderate levels of humidity. You can also use misting if the air is too dry in the surroundings. However, too much misting may result in a shorter life span, attract pests, and cause fungi to take form and damage the plant.
Gradual Flow Method
Gradual flow method is perfect for those who aren’t home most of the time. This skill involves an apparatus that releases water in small amounts. These can be found in plant shops, looking like stems with colorful glass bulbs that have to be filled with water and inserted into the soil. You can make these easily at home, too! Grab a sharp knife and a nice and clean plastic bottle (empty). Make a few holes around the plastic bottle’s neck. Next, fill the bottle with water until it is near the brim. Put the battle cap back on, then turn it upside down and place the neck of the bottle in the dirt. Water will then gradually enter your pot over time.
