The discount day is being organized by Apps With Curriculum.
Nov 19, 2012 - Sascyn Publishing today announces an iPad mini is being given away by four educational app developers who work with Apps With Curriculum, which creates Common Core-aligned lesson plans for apps. Along with the iPad mini, a Cygnett WorkMate case and a selection of apps will be given away in a raffle that kicks off Cyber Monday, Nov. 26, and ends Dec. 17. The raffle is being held in conjunction with "Mini Madness" by The iMums, a children's tech review site.
Nov 12, 2012 - Apps With Curriculum will celebrate National I Love to Write Day on November 15 by offering free Common Core Standards aligned curriculum writing activities. Apps With Curriculum, founded by National Board Certified Teacher Cyndie Sebourn, encourages book app developers to provide accompanying curriculum with their apps to empower educators in the classroom. Sebourn has created a Book App Library of these apps that provide curriculum.

May 18, 2012 - Students at Jessieville Elementary School in Arkansas recently participated in a pilot program by a National Board Certified Teacher to use apps in the classroom, in alignment with Common Core State Standards and with accompanying custom-designed curriculum. Lessons plans and activities were paired with apps that students used on class iPads. Book app, "Treasure Kai and the Lost Gold of Shark Island," inspired language arts and science activities that were applauded by teachers and students.
