[prMac.com] Seattle, Washington - Candywriter today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Gyro Draw 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch, a sketching app designed to allow iPhone 4 owners to discover and experiment with their new hardware's built-in gyroscope.
The release of the iPhone 4 marked the first "iDevice" to ship with a gyroscope, a small component used to track orientation in a 3D environment. All sorts of new applications will be made possible via the gyroscope and Gyro Draw introduces the user to the fundamentals of gyroscopic orientation and motion.
Users select whether they would like to sketch via the accelerometer or the gyroscope and then choose a type of graphing paper. Tilting the phone left or right in Accelerometer mode allows the user to drop a pencil around the screen towards gravity. Gyroscope mode, on the other hand, measures device rotation to slide a piece of paper about the pencil.
* Motion sketch with the accelerometer or gyroscope
* An assortment of pencil colors and paper styles
* Save sketches to your photo library
* Retina display-compatible
* Allows accelerometer drawing on devices without a gyroscope

* Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later
