[prMac.com] Blacksburg, Virginia - St. Clair Software today is happy to announce the release of App Tamer 1.0.1. This update improves App Tamer's efficiency and addresses several issues that have been reported since version 1.0 was released.
About App Tamer:
App Tamer's unique AutoStop capability automatically pauses applications when you switch away from them, and then restarts them when you click back to them. This prevents applications from consuming CPU power and running down your laptop battery unnecessarily, while seamlessly allowing you to continue to work just as you always have.
App Tamer 1.0.1 addresses several problems found after App Tamer's initial release, as well as reducing App Tamer's own CPU use. Among other things, this version will allow applications 30 seconds to start up before pausing them, will not occasionally leave windows grayed out when it quits, and addresses issues with Adobe Flash and Witch, a utility by ManyTricks.
* Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Pricing and Availability:
App Tamer 1.0.1 is a free update for registered users. It is $14.95 (USD) for Mac users who have not purchased it yet. Please see the St. Clair Software web site for a full change log and additional feature information.
