High school students stump parents - Trigger unique iPhone app

in Games (E)

[prMac.com] Denham Springs, Louisiana - Parents watched as a group of teenagers played a strange game with their friends. The game consisted of a person showing sets of fingers, saying different numbers and repeating "This is a very simple game." at the beginning of each round. The group would then be asked what number corresponds to the amount of fingers being held up. No one in the group could figure out the correct answer.

The parents were amazed by the game and the amount of fun the kids were having. They joined in and tried to figure out the answer too. Like everyone else, they couldn't figure out the puzzle after several attempts. One of the parents watching was an independent iPhone developer and thought this was a great app idea. A few weeks after the party, he figured out how he could turn the crazy hand game into a mobile game and told the kids about his idea. They were so excited and couldn't wait to see the game in action on their phones.

Now several weeks later, Very Simple Game is available on Apple iOS devices: iPhone, iPod, and iPad. The iOS version of Very Simple Game reenacts the actual gameplay used by the kids at the party. Equipped with the same dialogue and actual hand gestures of the mind twisting game that had everyone confused.
