Rower creates free app to expand market reach for website

in Sports (E)

[prMac.com] Belleville, New Jersey - Last spring Owner/Designer, Beth Shergalis wanted to expand her customer base at RowZone.net. It was then she decided to create a free app targeted to the rowing community. Beth named it after her website, Row Zone. "I wanted to create an iPhone App that rowers, coaches and coxswains could use." said Beth. The website RowZone.net, was inspired by her love for rowing. RowZone.net helps anyone interested in learning to row, and for the more seasoned rower, provides information regarding clubs, camps and other rowing locations. There is a also a link to an online store which sells rowing gear and gifts.

The app features:
* An Eight lane stopwatch
* A Four lane stopwatch
* A "Seat assignment" section
* "Tip of the Day" link

There is no need to have multiple stopwatches. The user has a choice of eight or four lane stopwatches that are great for practice or competition. The results are automatically saved and a screen shot can be forwarded to any email address.

The "Seat Assignment" lets the user create a seating assignment for their crew. The user can choose the type of boat they will be using. With a nicely illustrated overhead view of the boat, the user can enter the names of the rowers and coxswain. The line-up can then be emailed and shared anyone.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 3.2 or later
* 1.3 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Row Zone 1.3 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Sports category.
