[prMac.com] Detroit, Michigan - Marvel Apps, LLC today released iMarksman 1.0 for iOS, a tool for sharp shooters and recreational shooters alike. iMarksman uses the iPhone camera to calculate ring score and average group radius of a shooters round on a target. Compete with marksmen all around the world and compare ring scores using Apple Game Center. Know your shooting grouping radius to improve your hunting kill zone.
Last spring iPhone developer Michael Antaran wanted to design an app that helped his friends improve their skills with their rifle or hand gun. "I would over hear my friends saying, 'there's gotta be an app for calculating your ring score.' After doing some research, there wasn't much out there. So I decided to go for it. I was aiming to complete version 1.0 before November in time for hunting season. I just made it."
iMarksman uses the photo to determine the position of the center of the bullet holes to that of the point of aim. The application will calculate this distance to the bullseye then compute the scale based on the photo to get the ring score.
The app features
* Very simple to operate
* Menu driven instructions
* Utilize camera record targets
* Game center integration
* Multi-touch for Precision positioning
* Selectable shots per round
Using iMarksman is a 3 step process. Step 1 - Take picture of target. Step 2 - quickly select bullet holes with multi touch. Step 3- set scale of picture target using precision arrows. The app then calculates your average group radius and ring score. The app performs and prompts the user efficiently.
Have targets from years past collecting dust, use iMarksman to record and compete with friends using Game Center all within the app. Store hundreds of targets all on your iPhone.
* iPhone, iPod touch with camera, iPad with camera
* Requires iOS 4.0 or later
* 2.8 MB
