[prMac.com] Pfaeffikon, Switzerland - Power App today announces a limited-time 50% discount on its new iPhone app AquaDrop, an action-packed underwater game that challenges players to use bubble jets to push colorful balls into the baskets floating above.
AquaDrop is now available for the special price of $0.99 worldwide in the iTunes App Store, a savings of 50% from its regular price of $1.99. The discount, which begins today and is available through October 31, 2011, is designed to spread the excitement of this recently released game to more players.
AquaDrop brings a digital twist to the classic water toys many people played with as a child. In the game, players use bubble jets to guide balls underwater and earn points before the 50-second timer runs out.
"AquaDrop is a fun and exciting game that anyone can play, and will keep you entertained for hours," said Power App General Manager Christian Schaffner.
What makes AquaDrop different from other underwater arcade games is the lifelike quality of the game, which makes use of realistic water movement and sound plus fish swimming by on screen, giving users the soothing look of an aquarium while playing. The high-quality graphics and movements stem from the advanced underwater physics that developers used to create the game. The results can be seen in the lifelike game play designed to delight both the young and young at heart.
As a fast moving game, AquaDrop provides a number of levels to test a player's speed and dexterity. Adding to the challenge in some levels, players are required to match colored balls with their corresponding baskets, which may be moving. Tilting the iPhone side to side moves the balls, and tapping the left and right bubble jets will push them up toward their targets.
"When you're controlling the bubble jets, you can be slow and careful or fast and furious," Christian Schaffner said, "but watch out because the clock is always ticking!"
The combination of skill, luck, and timing makes AquaDrop a fun challenge for casual and more experienced gamers. Also, there are extra dangers such as spiked metal balls - they will shatter any basket they land in, ending the game. AquaDrop is composed of four playing levels: Angel Fish, Clown Fish, Dolphin and Gold Fish. Each level has 5 stages, for 20 challenging stages in all.
Features of the AquaDrop game include:
* Classic underwater game - Players use bubble jets to push the colored balls into baskets floating above
* Exciting challenges - Stages could have two colored baskets, moving baskets, or dangerous spiked balls
* Highly realistic movement - Balls bounce off each other and bubbles gently float up using the advanced physics built into the game
* Beautiful graphics - The game makes players feel like they are under the sea as fish swim by and plants sway in the current
* Multiple profiles - Up to 3 different players can have their own profiles with the levels they completed
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 3.0 or later
* 18.4 MB
