[prMac.com] Newmarket, Ontario/Canada - Forsefield a multidisciplinary design studio, recently created "That 3D Mask App" for people to use as a fun way of enjoying the Halloween season. "That 3D Mask App" is a fun interactive application for iPhone and iPad2 that generates a 3D mask in the device viewfinder. Screen shots can be taken and saved to the photo gallery and shared with friends or viewed later.
The photos and scenes that can be created with friends and family using the 3D masks are amazing and hilarious. Wear a Jack-O-Lantern, be a Zombie, put a Unicorn horn on your dog. Save all the images to view later with friends.
The system uses Augmented Reality and works in combination with the supplied printed targets. When the viewfinder sees the target a 3D mask is generated floating above the target. Place the target on your forehead and the effect is quite amazing and striking. There are 12 targets for a total of 12 masks with some incorporating animation and special effects. Everything from a Zombie and Jack-O-Lantern to a Laughing Skull or Unicorn and many more.
