in Announcements

[prMac.com] Sunnyvale, California and Renton, Washington - The Enterprise Device Alliance (EDA) today announced that Parallels, a worldwide leader in hosting and cloud service enablement and desktop virtualization for the enterprise, is the newest member of the alliance. By joining the EDA, Parallels brings cross-platform virtualization and cloud services to the suite of mobile, desktop and server solutions that the EDA represents.

IT professionals can interact with Parallels spokespeople and receive in-person demonstrations of Parallels Desktop for Mac Enterprise Edition and Parallels Mobile at the upcoming MacIT conference in San Francisco, from Jan. 26-27, or learn more on the Parallels website.

"Parallels empowers enterprises with award-winning solutions so they can quickly support their growing population of Mac users who need to run OS X and Windows applications side-by-side, and to access everything remotely via iPad, iPhone or iPod touch," said T. Reid Lewis, president of the Enterprise Device Alliance, and president of GroupLogic. "Parallels makes it easy for IT departments to comply with corporate policies, simplifies mass deployments, and streamlines the business user experience. Its membership in the EDA will help further facilitate the integration of Apple devices in the enterprise."

"Parallels supports the Enterprise Device Alliance's goal of helping organizations increase their productivity while they integrate, manage and protect a diverse array of desktops and mobile devices," said Kim Johnston, vice president of marketing for Parallels. "Our cross-platform and mobile solutions make it simple and cost-effective for enterprise to support and manage the Mac hardware employees want while seamlessly giving them Windows and other applications they need."
