[prMac.com] Seoul, Republic of Korea - YFactory today is pleased to introduce The Window 1.0 for iOS, their new, interactive bedtime Book for kids. Created especially to help young children fall asleep, The Window tells the story of a young girl's dreams as she sleeps at night. The window is both the open window of her room, which makes her room cold upon awakening, and the window of her imagination, through which she witnesses a series of wonderful dreams. The artistically crafted book features professional voice over, soothing music, and imaginative graphics and animation. "It was very cold when I woke up. That's why my friends Ducky and Kitty decided to join me on a journey to find the reason why."
The Window is a gentle narrative, most of which occurs inside a dream. It is a story meant to welcome sleepy children to the fantastic world of their own imaginations, the land of sleep and dreams. In keeping with its theme, the illustrations are familiar yet otherworldly. There are elements of surrealism rarely seen in children's books, where depiction and perspective have a logic of their own. Highly entertaining and always tasteful, The Window can read itself aloud or a parent or sibling can read it to a child.
Each page includes highly original layers of animation that move in different directions at different speeds. There is a playful use of shadow, translucence, and transparency as the animations bring the story to life. Every page includes interactive elements, many of which must be discovered through experiment. A recurring theme throughout is the rainbow, and many pages include characters or artifacts that are rainbow colored in primary or secondary colors.

A professional, female voiceover begins the story, but is quickly replaced by the voice of the little girl herself, and the book becomes a first person narrative. The child's voice and soothing background music help create a quiet mood that complements the story perfectly. The last page of the book holds a subtle surprise that will bring a smile to the faces of parents and children alike.
"The Window is a very imaginative new book that will be enjoyed equally by children and adults," commented Yong Nam Kim of YFactory. "Watch as animated dreamscapes unfold and explore built-in interactivity on every page."
