[prMac.com] Larissa, Greece - NLOGN today is pleased to announce the release of Pop Corny 2.3, an update to its greatly successful casual game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Pop Corny's new update now provides users with iCloud support. The implementation allows for automatic game state synchronization between different iOS devices without requiring any user assistance.

Contrary to other games, iCloud synchronization conflicts are handled automatically so that the player can pick up the game on whatever iOS device he wants immediately and without taking any synchronization action. To accomplish this the game utilises intelligent game state merging algorithms that resolve any game state or game version conficts.

Pop Corny ranked as the App Store's #1 Game in France, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Jordan,. It was in the top 10 of United States, Italy, Thailand, Norway, Netherlands, Filand and many more, and spent a week as the #1 paid app overall in Greece. Pop Corny was also featured as the free game of the day by OpenFeint's on March 22th, 2012.

Set inside a theater, or outdoors in the countryside, Pop Corny is a simple, yet highly addictive casual game with gorgeous cartoon artwork, and stimulating salsa beat music. The story is simple: Mr. Pop Corny, the world's cutest monster, needs to eat popcorn! he needs all the popcorn there is! Pop Corny is an accessible game, based on a unique and original gameplay idea, easily enjoyed by casual gamers of all age.

Pop Corny was created with the "Sylphis Game Engine" development platform based on the original open source Sylphis3D game engine. Sylphis3d is a fully featured, cutting edge game engine designed to support all the latest next-gen features while still being easy to use. It supports all the features you'd expect from a professional level engine, such as dynamic lighting and shadows, GLSL Shaders, post processing, rigid body physics, skeletal animation, 3d sound, and more. It is fully Python Scripted, so you can customize it to fit your particular needs without having to dive into any hard-core programming. Sylphis uses a specific implementation of Python called Stackless Python that allows for extremely fast execution speeds on a high number of game threads. The entire engine is licensed under the GNU GPL v2, with a classpath exception that allows for more flexibility in commercial use and modification than the standard GPL.
