RocketDocs 1.1 for Mac OS X - Standalone, Lightweight Google Docs Client

May 28, 2012 in Utility

[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom - Tricky Duck today is pleased to announce RocketDocs 1.1 for Mac OS X, an upgrade to their Utility designed as a lightweight Google Docs Client, which allows users to work with Google Docs and Google Apps in an application accessible from the Dock or Menu Bar. Independent of any web browser, RocketDocs consolidates and organizes all the features of Google Docs and Google Apps in a single window, allowing users to create new documents, open recent documents, preview documents, and share documents with one mouse click or one touch of the trackpad using Lion's Multi-Touch Gestures. The update adds support for Google 2-Step Authorization, Google Apps Accounts, Google Drive, and OAuth 2.0 Authorization.

Feature Highlights:
* Store and share files in the cloud with Google Drive
* Standalone application accessible from the Menu Bar and/or Dock
* Drag n' Drop support
* Full screen mode
* Easy navigation between tabs
* Full support for Google Docs hotkeys
* Automatically sign in to your Google Docs account
* Quickly access all the most recently opened Google Docs from the menu bar
* User-defined hotkeys in addition to default Google hotkeys

According to Google, "Google Docs is a suite of products that lets you create different kinds of online documents, work on them in real time with other people, and store your documents and your other files - all online, and all for free. With an Internet connection, you can access your documents and files from any computer, anywhere in the world. (There's even some work you can do without an Internet connection!)"

RocketDocs allows the user to go to the menu bar, access the app's drop-down menu and instantly create a new Document, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Form, Table, or Drawing. Also available from the convenient menu is a list of all the most recently opened Google Docs documents from which the user can choose and quickly open any one.

RocketDocs is fully compatible with both Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and Mac OS X Lion (10.7), supporting Lion's full screen mode and Multi-Touch Gestures. In addition, the app has tabs for easy navigation, supports Google Hotkeys to easily switch between documents, user-definable hotkeys, and includes click and drag for easy editing within and between documents. Perfectly integrated with every feature and function of Google Docs, RocketDocs lets users view, preview, edit, sort, and share all their Google Docs documents from a single window. With support for Google Drive, users can store, share, and work together on files in the cloud.

With its unprecedented flexibility, integration, and power, the free Google Docs suite of products is appearing increasingly on desktops around the world. RocketDocs can dramatically increase any user's productivity whenever working with Google Docs.

"If you are a Google Docs user and you value an uncluttered desktop, then RocketDocs is the Google Docs Client for you," stated Roman Dashevski of Tricky Duck. "From the Rocket icon on the menu bar, you'll have access to all your documents, and you will be able to quickly create new ones."

System Requirements:
* OS X 10.6 or later
* 1.8 MB
* Internet connection required

Pricing and Availability:
RocketDocs 1.1 is $5.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Productivity category. Review copies are available on request.
