[prMac.com] Kitchener, Canada - RapidWeaver theme developer seyDesign has been busy over the past several months, releasing two new themes and a stack - alltr, av8or, and PrivateEyes - and acquiring a new staff member.
Chris Cifonie, a 16-year graphic design veteran, joined the team in May as seyDesign's new Creative Director. "His full time attention will be designing new themes, keeping seydesign.com fresh and current," says seyDesign lead developer Adam Merrifield, "as well as facing our Twitter and Facebook pages and generally being in charge of all things creative and aesthetic in nature."
alltr, the first of the new themes, was released in May. Built on seyDesign's Frehmwork theme platform, alltr is a gorgeous responsive-ready theme that focuses on the site's information architecture. Adam Merrifield says, "This makes sure your content and ideas stand out with great use of white space and visual cues, while helping your visitors find what they need with an intuitive navigation system. We've also built in the very cool Font Awesome Library to make finishing touches easier. This can be seen in ExtraContent area 12, in what we call the social links bar. You can add Font Awesome icons to anything, simply by adding the appropriate class.
av8or, released in June, is the first RapidWeaver theme developed exclusively by Creative Director Chris Cifonie. A responsive ready RapidWeaver theme with a unique style and vertical flow, av8or is packed with a number of great features such as ExtraContent, Social Links, and 3-tier navigation with drop menus, as well as the Font Awesome Library and many other options. av8or is the first seyDesign theme to support SS3.2, which includes new settings such as slide show navigation, pagination, random ordering and more.
Both themes incorporate all of the unique features seyDesign themes are known for, such as the built-in slide show, smart navigation, ExtraContent, and lightbox albums.
Merrifield and Cifonie are both excited about the future of seyDesign. Merrifield says, "Having Chris on board will allow greater throughput without taking any time away from our legendary support and that's very important to us and our customers. We have big plans over the coming months which I think our customers will love."
