[prMac.com] Stockholm, Sweden - Wombi Helicopter, to be released this March for iOS and Android devices, brings a whole new dynamic to customizing your aircraft and flying it. This time, kids will be designing and flying a helicopter in a much different setting from Wombi Airplane. The bubbly mountain scenery has now transformed into a city skyline.
Free to download and developed for kids ages 4 and up, Wombi Helicopter is sure to make learning fun. By assembling their own helicopters, children will learn a little bit about how the aircraft works. Next, they'll take their customized copters on an adventure-filled rescue mission through the city.
The premise of the mission? The citizens of the city have accidentally taken too many balloons, causing them to float high above the skyline. It's the pilot's job to pick up these passengers before they float too high. As an extra challenge, the pilot must keep a sharp eye out for an evil skunk that is out to sabotage the mission - just as he did in Wombi Airplane.
To control the game, players must tap the screen and adjust the helicopter's height at the right time, or else it will crash into the city buildings or run into flying objects. Wombi Helicopter continues to challenge its players with multiple levels. Furthermore, the illustrations are eye-catching and unique, sporting an industrial yet colorful look that is characteristic of so many cities.
"Because of the success of Wombi Airplane, we wanted to create a spin-off with added flavor. Some of the challenges are the same, such as the evil skunk who finds you no matter where you go. But the aspect of picking up passengers as a rescue mission, as well as flying a totally different aircraft in a whole new setting, adds a new challenge to this much-loved game," says game creator Daniel Lodin. He adds, "The most gratifying part is that Wombi Helicopter is free, so everyone has the chance to enjoy this flight adventure."
The game is filled with lively illustrations and child-friendly animal characters. It is also completely free. Wombi's initiative is to get kids "playing to learn." Its founders are dedicated to creating safe applications, so Wombi apps are free of third part advertisements and "surprise" charges. Most importantly, they're all about making learning fun for kids all over the world.
