[prMac.com] Honolulu, Hawaii - Independent developer Yoshi Sugawara today is pleased to announce the release of ImageBank version 6 on the App Store, adding support for animated GIFs. ImageBank allows users to stream photos from their PC or Mac to their iPhone or iPad. ImageBank can stream photos via a home Wifi network or cellular connection, provided the PC or Mac is left on. ImageBank contains a robust suite of photo-viewing features such as:
* Random shuffle mode
* Offline viewing
* Private mode
* View EXIF/IPTC metadata
"Everyone has lots of photos saved on their home PC, but often don't have the time to sync and upload them to their iPhone," said Yoshi Sugawara. "ImageBank lets you view photos stored on your home PC from your iPhone and iPad, so you can save space and spend more time enjoying your photos."
The latest release features support for animated GIFs - an image consisting of a short, repeated animated sequence - which is making a comeback on the web, fueled by social media sites such as Tumblr and Facebook.
"Customers have been clamoring for animated GIF support in the past couple months. Seeing them full-screen on your iPhone or iPad is a fun addition and I think they'll be delighted," added the developer.
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 5.0 or later
* 7.1 MB
