[prMac.com] Odessa, Ukraine - Nektony continues to improve its products. The update of VSD Viewer 3.0 for Mac enables viewing of MS Visio 2007 - 2013 XML format drawings on Mac. The original Visio binary file format is the most widely used even today. Still many documents are in newest XML file extensions. Thus, supporting of other file formats was one of Nektony's highest priorities after enabling basic features for VSD. This update makes VSD Viewer the first app that handles all three most common Visio formats on Mac OS X.
It should be noted, that opening of VDX and VSDX documents is as simple as opening already supported VSD. No further conversions required and no time delays happen, all features and characteristics are similar. New formats also handle common document formatting (line, fill, color), enables page navigation, process metafiles, OLE-objects and general images, switches layers visibility, etc. Both XML formats can be converted and saved in PDF for further distribution.
VSD Viewer for Mac developed for business professionals who use Microsoft Visio as a main diagramming and vector graphics tool, but most of the time work on Mac OS X. The app enables viewing of VSD, VDX and VSDX drawings in the same manner as they are displayed in Microsoft Visio.
