[prMac.com] Singapore, Singapore - AlertStocks today is pleased to announce Favalert 1.4, free for iOS, an update to its app that provides users with a push notification alert when someone logs on to Facebook, and can check how long any individual has been logged on to Facebook. Alerts are ideal for greeting a special someone or breaking the ice, and Facebook usage histories are invaluable for monitoring the amount of time spent on Facebook by employees or children. With Favalert, users can invisibly follow selected friends as they log on and log off Facebook, and users can start chatting anytime.

Specialists in real-time alert information, AlertStocks' previous apps have provided alerts for stock prices and Amazon price drops. Now, without being on Facebook themselves, users can receive alerts every ten minutes, informing them of those on their Favorites list who just log onto Facebook. The Favorites page of the app includes a scrolling list of friends with thumbnails, and beneath each name is the status, either Offline or Active.
In addition to alerts when a favorited person logs in, Favalert keeps a record of the time each favorite logged on and how long he or she spent on Facebook before logging off. Touching the favorite's listing in the app opens a full page for that person, which displays blocks of time in blue on a day-timer appointment page. Instantly, users can check if an employee or child has been on Facebook too long or at any inappropriate time of day.
"Employees visiting Facebook while at work has become a major problem," commented Ariyo Zhou of AlertStocks. "A recent article in Computerworld stated, 'Companies that allow users to access Facebook in the workplace lose an average of 1.5% in total employee productivity, according to a new report from Nucleus Research, an IT research company. The survey of 237 employees also showed that 77% of workers who have a Facebook account use it during work hours.'"
